The Town of Twillingate

Twillingate is a small town of aprox 2500 people in the northeastern Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Twillingate was known for being one of the busiest fishing communities in Newfoundland for generations however in recent years its economy now relies more on tourism.

Known in recent years as ” The Iceberg Capital” of the world Twillingate boasts  some of the best viewing of icebergs as well as whale watching during the spring and summer months.

Along with Icebergs and whale watching Twillingate also provides opportunities to visit many museums, hiking trails, boat tours, local festivals (Fish Fun and Folk Festival in late July and the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival in the third week of September), and even a winery.

Visit Twillingate and you will not regret the warm and friendly cultural experience that our town has to offer.
